Delhi Retina Forum invites submission in 5 different Categories for Delhi Retina Meet 2026

The Categories are as follows:

  • Grand Rounds (Challenging Medical Retina Cases)
  • What Next? (Surgical Challenges)
  • Prove Your Point (Innovation/unconventional management)
  • Pushing till edge (Extreme Surgeries)
  • E-Poster (Rare cases or case series, new entities, original studies)

General Guidelines for abstract submission

Important dates
All submissions (except E-posters) open from: 1st January 2026
Last Date of Submission: 15th April 2026
Announcement of results of abstracts 15th May 2026
Last date for uploading final presentation 1st June 2026
Registrations (early bird): 1st Jan to 31st March 2026
Registrations (Regular): 1st April to 30th June 2026


  • Each Author can submit 2 abstracts for each category. Each submission can have up to 3 co-authors. If accepted, First Author has to present the submission and register for the meeting.
  • All submissions should be in English and should avoid using capitals and have to be submitted on line via DRM 2026 submission portal only. Click here to submit your abstract.
  • Avoid any branding or logos representing any company, Institute or Hospital on your presentation. Similarly, avoid using trade names of drugs or devices.
  • All images and videos should be devoid of any patient credentials or features that can disclose patient identity.
  • All authors and co-authors have to disclose financial interests for the presentation. If there is no financial interest, same should also be declared during submission.
  • Presentation should preferably have content that would be useful for practicing retinal surgeons or fellows. We discourage DRF members to submit any material that has already being presented in other international or national meetings.

Results of Abstract Submission

  • Authors of selected abstracts will receive a confirmation mail be May 15th 2026 following which they have to send/upload their full presentation including videos by 1st June 2026, failing which the acceptance will stand cancelled and not included in programme.
  • Submission guidelines for Grand Rounds (Challenging medical retina, uvea and oncology cases)

Please send your abstract in following format

  • Title (50 characters)
  • Case history (300 words)
  • Diagnostic/Management Challenge (200 words)
  • Your approach for addressing that challenge and the rationale behind it (200 words)
  • 2 questions from panelists
Submit those cases for which you have sufficient documentation with good quality images and reasonably good (6 weeks at least) follow up

Kindly, avoid discussing literature in your abstracts.

We will require complete case details after your case gets selected but before we include it in final programme.

Maximum duration of presentation for each case will be 5 minutes

Guidelines for What Next? (Challenging surgeries)
Please send your abstract in following format

  • Title (50 characters)
    1. Title should convey the key challenge faced during that surgery and the pearl if any, that Surgeon wants to share – e.g . “Modified Subretinal injection cannula for VFI systems” Preference would be given to cases that posted a decision or management dilemma to the surgeon
  • Brief description of the case (250 words) including "why this surgery was challenging?"
  • 2 key questions for the panelists
  • All “What Next” submissions should be accompanied by surgical video of not more than 3 min duration. Submission without video will not be considered for review.
  • Guidelines for Video
    1. Save your video in .wmv or .mpg or .mov or.mp4 formats and file size should not be larger than 500 MB with duration no longer than 3 minutes
    2. Video should be focused on the key step or event that is worth sharing with our audience.
    3. Video should be accompanied by narration and subtitles in English. Avoid using music, animations or clips from cinema.
    4. Avoid using patient identifying information in video and file names.
  • We will require need your final high-resolution video after your case gets selected but before we include it in final programme.

Prove your Point

  • Please submit your abstract in following format
  • Title (50 characters)
  • Background and the unmet need or lacunae in knowledge (100 words)
  • Point description (methodology and result) (250 words)
  • Key challenge in adopting the new concept or treatment (100 words)
  • Conclusion and next course (50 words)
  • The innovation submitted should be the one that author/s has used or tested himself/themselves clinically with adequate documentation.
  • We do not entertain “proof of concept” kind of submissions.

Pushing till Edge (Extreme Surgeries)

  • Please submit your abstract in following format
  • Title (50 characters)
  • Background of the case (100 words)
  • Details of surgical maneuvers (250 words)
  • 3 Key learnings
  • All “Pushing till edge” submissions should be accompanied by surgical video of not more than 3 min duration. Submission without video will not be considered for review.
  • Guidelines for Video
    1. Save your video in .wmv or .mpg or .mov or.mp4 formats and file size should not be larger than 500 MB with duration no longer than 3 minutes

  • Title (50 characters)
  • Case summary (200 words)
  • Results (150 words)
  • Conclusion (50 words)
  • 3 Key learnings
